Captains Log - For Sale
PURPOSE: To sell Compass Rose - £65,000
Part Exchange Considered (Rib boat or land in the Cornwall / Devon area
Having owned Compass Rose for not very long, approx 3 months I have made the decision to sell her.
If you have read my pages on her since buying you will see that I have had lots of improvements, upgrades & general maintenance done to her.
I am selling her purely because she is too big for me to handle alone. I can't drive & moor her up at the same time. I initially bought the boat when I was with a partner but having split I need a smaller boat.
Corvette 32 Classique built in 1991 with twin Volvo Penta 62hp diesel engines.
Excellent condition for her age she is an ideal live-aboard or perfect for cruising the coast or French canals.
With her smaller engines she cruises comfortable at 6.5 - 7.5 knots & is very economical on fuel
I am unable to offer a fuel running costs as I bought the boat with a 3/4 tank & have not filled up since.
I have taken her out on 2 separate occasions for approx 3 hr & I have also motored her from Falmouth Marina to Plymouth which took around 8 hrs. I've also run the engines on a weekly basis for approx 15 minutes.
The fuel gauges have moved down to the position as seen in the below picture. So being small 62hp engines she is very economical.
(I don't know why she has twin fuel gauges when she only has one fuel tank & for some reason the 2 gauges do not quite agree with each other)
Compass Rose was bought in 2018 by an elderly gentleman who spent money on various improvements & upgrades but then unfortunately went into hospital & got very little use out of her.
I've spent approximately 6k on various repairs, maintenance, improvements & additions since purchase. She runs well, both engines start first time & run smoothly, she cruises at around 6.5 - 7.5 knots.
Loads of paperwork, previous services history, repairs, installations etc plus manuals for various parts of the boat.
Since her last survey in June this year she has used 3 times, twice for journeys of around 90 minutes each & once for a longer trip when I moved her to Plymouth, 8 hrs. I make sure to run the engines for 15 - 20 minutes 1 - 2 times per week.
I am happy to pass on the survey report after a viewing, everything in the report was positive with a few advisories, most of which have been dealt with.
She's been a lovely live aboard for me this summer but a split from my partner has meant I now need to sell her primarily as she is too big for me to drive & moor up alone.
Moored at Falmouth Marina, she is ready to start having fun with. Sea trial welcome & own survey report commissioned if required.
Viewings / questions welcome.

Sea trials welcome at buyers cost.
P/X Considered. I am open to a rib or speed boat or land in the southwest of England.
